Investigating ethnic inequalities in housing affordability

This is such an important piece of research (Heritage and Home: Investigating ethnic inequalities in housing affordability) by the Resolution Foundation‘s Camron Aref-Adib and Felicia Odamtten. It puts the data to what many in the industry have been talking aoout for many years, ethnic inequalities in housing affordability. The impacts on health, mental health, life expectancy and propsects are not to be underestimated.

Florence Eshalomi MP, Chair of the Housing, Communities and Local Government Select Committee and Kwajo Tweneboa, Social issues and housing campaigner both highlighted from a personal, policy and government perspective the difficulties facing so many people and the impacts on the health services and the broader economy.

Notwithstanding working to end discrimination, the pertinent outcome for me was; “build a lot more affordable housing!”
