Affordable Housing – what affects it, migration, costs and housing numbers. Are there lessons to be learnt from some of the work done in London? Can it be solved?

It was a honour to deliver my talk on Affordable Housing in the UK to the South African Institute of Architects, KwaZulu Natal. It was an early start but interesting to share my projects and views on affordable housing delivery, high quality homes, creating safe, positive places to live and supporting community integration. In my view, these principles are transferable to SA. It takes willing, government level determination and a clear, realisable strategy. The housing crisis can be resolved.
