Comment on the Guardian article on the reduced effects of the interest rate rise
As much as this is good news that home buyers in the UK have hardly felt the effects of the 0.25% base rate rise, it should be read with caution. The uncertainty over Brexit and the potential for interest rates to rise as competition slows, especially for low earning first-time-buyers, cannot be ignored.
